        Particle board, also known as chipboard or low-density fiberboard, is an engineered wood product manufactured from wood chips and a synthetic resin or other suitable binder, which is pressed and extruded.[1] Particle board is often confused with oriented strand board (OSB, also known as flakeboard, or waferboard), a different type of fiberboard that uses machined wood flakes and offers more strength. 

         It is generally used for industrial applications as a raw material in the production of finished goods, such as ready-to-assemble furniture or cabinets. Particle board is either hidden from view in a finished product or covered with a decorative coating such as a wood veneer or resin-impregnated paper.

Chipboard is easy material to work with it can be cut to size by handsaw or electrical tools like Circular saw or jigsaw. It has excellent holding capabilities using chipboard screws. General purpose wood glue can be used in conjunction with screws for extra strength.
